Employee Spotlight: Stephanie Oakley
Meet Stephanie Oakley, an Account Manager that has made a guest appearance at Carnegie Hall.
Q: What is your favorite part of your job?
A: Problem solving! I work with a wide array of clients who have different needs and require unique solutions. My day is never the same and I've met some wonderful people along the way.
Q: Who had the most influence over you?
A: My Grandma and Grandpa Oakley. They both are/were the most hard working people I have ever known and their work ethic was instilled in me at a very young age. My grandparents and dad owned an antique store, and I spent much of my youth behind the counter every weekend helping out the family business.
My grandparents also raised me to be comfortable and confident in who I am as an individual. I've never been one to follow the crowd or make decisions based on a group mentality. I always try to be true to my instincts and individual thoughts.
Q: What color best represents your personality, and how does that color make you feel?
A: Grey is my favorite color and I like to think it represents the balance between dark and light.
Q: How would your best friends or family describe you in three words?
A: I texted my best friend and she said: Insightful, original, and big hearted.
Q: What is your favorite activity to do locally and why?
A: Anything that takes me outside and reconnect with nature.
Q: What is your favorite local restaurant?
A: Wapos, it's just the best!
Q: Best concert you have ever attended?
A: I can't name just one. Le Tigre, Peaches, Metric, The Civil Wars, Jenny Lewis, Florence + The Machine, Arctic Monkeys, Weezer, LCD Soundsystem, Wolf Alice, Kings of Leon, and The Killers just to name a few!
Q: Favorite Netflix show to binge watch?
A: Criminal Minds.
Q: Where's your favorite place in the world?
A: Muir Woods! To be surrounded by all those ancient Redwood trees is truly magical.
Q: Secret talent?
A: Singing. I sang in a professional children's choir and have performed at Carnegie Hall in New York.
